Liam Prendergast

Liam has been part of The Alternative Board community since 2021. In 2024 he enjoyed the work of TAB so much in his words he bought (just a little of the business himself). He is now co-owner of The Alternative Wakefield helping and supporting business leaders to be the best they can be. He does this through peer-to-peer advisory boards and executive coaching.
He has a passion for sales and people development, having previously been the Apprenticeship Levy Manager at Wakefield Council and Director of Apprenticeships at Leeds City College.
Liam’s passion is operational sales and marketing execution. He believes that SME businesses will thrive once everybody involved in the organisation buys into the vision and culture of the business.
His family background is in retail and in 1999 having “emigrated” from Liverpool to Wakefield, he now resides in East Ardsley Wakefield with his wife and two teenage daughters. He loves his sport and as a qualified cricket umpire he would love to visit Asia to watch England win a test match.
Liam joins the WBA judging panel for the fist time in 2026.
